Just spoke to a lady that sounded pissed to hear from me haha She repeated several times that our results will be on the portal before EOD New York time aka 17:00 EST and refused to provide any other info, soooo... I'm sorry for everyone in the Eastern Hemisphere :(
Haha as an American I promise I am not sleeping peacefully.
I also received that same Customer Service email back from GARP saying my results are posted, although they are not.
Truly ridiculous.
The GARP website is notorious for doing crazy things before results are released so I’d suggest waiting until Monday at Midnight to throw any parties haha but I hope it’s reliable indicator too :)
Hmm, maybe. I have a friend who took Part 2 on Oct 24 2020, and got his results on Dec 4 2020, so I'm staying hopeful we get them tomorrow given we are already waiting 2 extra weeks compared to the Oct 2020 exam. But who knows with GARP!
When I took part 1 in 2019, they also said mid-July but exam date was May 18th and results came on June 27th. My friend took the October 24th exam in 2020 and got the results on December 4th.
so I’m just being hopeful they continue with the ~6 week time frame I’ve seen.
Hi Nicole, I was going to ask about a difference on an identical question from the 2017 and 2020 exams, but just noticed this post on the thread.
Would you mind confirming that for Q24 on the 2020 Part II Practice exam, it is correct to use 1.96 as the Z-value? We are looking for the lower...
I actually spoke with them today and they said they will have a final decision on whether to proceed with the exam/waive deferral fees in the next few days. They have alot of our money, so I think it is OK to put pressure on them. Also, yes the exam is in May, but CDC came out with the no groups...
I think with the CDC's recommendation that for 8 weeks there cannot be a group larger than 50 people in room is going to put a lot of pressure on GARP given the number of people in the exam room at a time. I will definitely continue calling and emailing until they give me an answer so us...
Hi David, Nicole,
With the immense amount of new material in the 2020 exam, I've found it quite difficult to correctly pace my studying for part 2 of the exam. I don't feel like I had this problem last year with Part 1. With the material not yet available for most of 3 of the 6 sections, where...
Hi David,
Hi David, I’m not sure if I’m missing something but how do we calculate the 7 year yield var itself? Also, are we always supposed to assume 95% on these questions? Conf level is never actually specified in the videos or notes.
