Hi Nicole, I was going to ask about a difference on an identical question from the 2017 and 2020 exams, but just noticed this post on the thread.
Would you mind confirming that for Q24 on the 2020 Part II Practice exam, it is correct to use 1.96 as the Z-value? We are looking for the lower bound, so I would think it is 2 sided and 1.96 is correct, however 2017 has 1.645 as the z-value. Just want to check.

Hi @corinne.lieberman21 You are correct: the question asks for the lower bound of a confidence interval such that the two-sided deviate (i.e., 1.96 at 95% confidence) is appropriate, rather than the one-sided 1.645 that would be appropriate if the question were asking a VaR-type (aka, SaR in this context) question. GARP has many errors in prior practice questions, including the 2017 question required three revisions

@Meta They should be able to, but they don't have a good track record of writing high-quality questions, so they seem to focus on revisions/corrections to the existing limited sample. if they wrote entirely new questions each year, their 30+% error rate would be more manifestly obvious. Instead, we have a roughly similar set over the past 4-5 years, unfortunately.
Have you done all the BT end of chapter quizzes and all the practice problems? I definitely applaud you if you have but even as someone who put over 300 hours into studying for each part I personally didn’t have time to go over 100% of the questions and still did very well on both parts so I’d be surprised to hear you ran out of material.
Hey again, I'm looking at the 2019 Practise Exam on the first page but I don't see any t tables provided in the pdf (you took the FRM L1 right?)
The GARP website has only the 2022 material, yes I figured it's the same year on year; however, if the latest is out makes sense doing that, but anyhow just did the 2020 paper. Thanks for your response.

The practice exams at the beginning of this thread are the same as the practice paper provided in 2022 Fyi, all the same questions, same order. Thought I’d save someone else the paper before they print them all out like I
