R code used for slides / reporting

Hi David,

This is a proposition (don't know if it is super difficult to do). But could you maybe add the r code you use or are working on for certain topics in the FRM?

I know that certainly many will be interested as FRM is becoming more and more centric on data science techniques (also the case for CFA in the near future I think).

Would love to hear from you and others that are interested (and ofcourse there are many other sources already available).

Hi @enjofaes My apologies for such a delay, especially given that I shared your post internally (!) because I get really enthusiastic about the application of data science to our field. I have a data science blog here at https://dh-data.org/

So, yes, we are discussing exactly how to do what you asking about, in fact! I'm arguing that we should go further and buy/build the capability (at CeriFi) to offer instruction. As a FinEd company, I don't see how we can avoid the need to assist future Citizen Data Scientists.

I do not have the immediate capability to add more R code myself, directly. FYI, we are looking to hire somebody to help me and R/Python is a preferred skill, but it's just a tight market for talent right now, see:

More to come, thank you for your thoughts ... David

I agree. Very nice initiative of the Blog. Also with the recent innovations of R Studio (2021 for the visual editor). Automating reports and using that skill for companies to generate procedures / policies is very useful.

I stumbled upon the previous version of your Blog @David Harper CFA FRM
and include it below for future reference in this forum thread:

Ps. Stumbled upon it after revising a question about heteroscedasticity. Looks great! Can't wait for the future shiny apps that would help visualise some concepts in the FRM profession if those are planned with the new hire ;)
