FRM Part II Topics

I'm sure this is spelled out somewhere, but thought I might find a quicker answer here. I know that Part 2 builds on Part 1 topics; however, are areas specific to Part 1 also testable in Part 2?

Example: Hull's Exotic Options and several MBS readings have been moved to Part 1 starting in 2015. Since I did not study these areas for Part 1 on the November 2014 test, should I read and fully understand these topics (to the point of being able to answer FRM exam questions specific to these areas)? There are several questions in BT's Part 2 study material that are targeted toward these readings, which is what raised my concern in the first place.

Thanks in advance!

Hi
Yes definitely you should read part I readings that u think u missed but part II readings are targeted towards them. You do not require to read exotic options and mbs if they are not in part ii anymore but if u feel that to understand some reading of part ii u should know for e.g. Mbs then u should read it otherwise there is no sense of reading topics not in part ii. I think questions targeted to partii should be done the questions targeted to part i should not be that relevant but if you do them it will do no harm and shall only help.
Thanks
