This is what I remember from Level I (Toronto)

1. Correlation question: 4 Graphs of scatterplots given - one with dots all ove the place, one V shaped, one with +ve slope and one with -ve slope
correlation. I chose the one...
I remember having the same issue with the question you described. I was not able to come up with any of the options. So I just chose $2 as a guess as it was S-X at the starting node. I wonder what the true answer really is.
Hello: I just wanted to share some thoughts I had about the L1 exam. Overall I think I did okay but I was very disappointed at the quality control GARP has in place to ensure that questions are flawless. I highly recommend GARP take a full audit of its operational risks, considering the kind of...
Hello David:
If this issue has not been raised before, would you have time to look into this for me please?
In Slide No. 102 of the second part of the first Quant video (2009_2.a.i_quantitative_continued), the F-test is used to test whether the variance of the Male and Female Test scores...
Hi: I am not able to understand the purpose of this book. My understanding is that if you read all the GARP assigned course pack readings, you have covered everything you need to know for the test and entire AIMS. Why would you want to waste time reading the FRM handbook ? Am I missing something...
Does anyone know when the GARP Course Pack is being released ?
I am surprised to see how long it takes for GARP to assemble the material published by others into one place ? I find this unacceptable.
Hi Arne:
Sorry to hear about last year. I am also thinking of doing one exam as I do not want to drag it either. I have been reading that the exam last year was quite tough. From your experience, how much incremental course content has been added compared to the last year?
Thanks.
David:
I was considerting doing ICBRR (International Certificate in Banking Risk and Regulation), as new certificate offered by GARP. I also plan to do FRM this year. I don't know whether there is much point in doing ICBRR if I am to do FRM as well. Thanks for your advice.
I will be sitting for the 2009 whole exam. I would like to ask anyone who did the test last year to post their experience on what they used to prepare for the test - The FRM material or other provider or mix.
