    Sharing of materials?

Anyone know if we are allowed to share materials with one another? For instance, I do not have a copy of Wagner's Country Risk Model readings and I would be interested in a .pdf if someone is willing to share it (assuming this is not prohibited, naturally.) Brian

Exam Feedback FRM Part 1 (May 2014) Exam Feedback

I too have a great deal of respect for actuaries....it must take real determination to work in such a boring field! Kidding... It is difficult to say which exams are more difficult...as I am sure many have said before me, the actuarial exams are specialized exams testing specific topics, so...

Exam Feedback FRM Part 1 (May 2014) Exam Feedback

I began my career as an Actuarial Analyst at Towers Perrin (now Towers Watson) and now I work in Finance at a super-regional bank in North Carolina. I have passed a couple actuarial exams. Having passed the SOA exams, I really expected the FRM exam to be a cake walk ... I was wrong. By...

Exam Feedback FRM Part 1 (May 2014) Exam Feedback

Not sure I agree with this entirely....the trustee is engaged on behalf of the bond holders, not the issuer. This fact led me to NOT select the fiduciary option.

I agree with this and answered to a similar effect....but I don't remember the actual language....

Exam Feedback FRM Part 1 (May 2014) Exam Feedback

    I am having trouble posting to this thread.... I solved for Lambda = (1/2)^(1/23) = 0.970 since were given T = 23.

Exam Feedback FRM Part 1 (May 2014) Exam Feedback

    thought I posted this earlier....is this the question that stated lambda ^ T = 1/2 given T = 23? Wouldn't we simply solve for Lambda as follow? Lambda = (1/2)^(1/23) = 0.97031

Exam Feedback FRM Part 1 (May 2014) Exam Feedback

I might be mistaken, but I thought that the proctor announced that there was a z table in the test booklet (or the problem stated it ... or something else.) For some reason, I was aware that it was there....

Exam Feedback FRM Part 1 (May 2014) Exam Feedback

Perhaps I am wrong, but I swear there were a couple questions that were simply flawed. I remember one question that stated something like the following.... If considering the mean variance framework, skewness and kurtosis do not exist. I am paraphrasing.... This is a flawed statement; the 3rd...

As an aside, I would love to speak about the exam questions, but it is my understanding that it is a violation of the Code of Ethics....is it not?

Exam Feedback FRM Part 1 (May 2014) Exam Feedback

I felt absolutely terrible after this exam. I am not sure what I was expecting....I would have liked to have left feeling confident but that was definitely not the case. I ran out of time and had to guess on at least 20 questions.....which is very frustrating because I did not anticipate time...
