Gave my first shot at both parts on the same day and I am happy I did so.
Part 1: 1,1,1,1
Part 2: 1,1,1,1,1
Congrats to everyone who passed and best wishes to anyone who will sit for the exam in November.
Maybe because the official results are scheduled for tomorrow. Who knows... As far as I read threads on previous years' exams, weird things always happen on their webpage around the day for exam results.
Yes, it disappeared. Good thing that I saved my performance analysis results :) Gave my first shot at both parts on the same day and I am happy I did so.

I agree that CFA L2 is much easier and not tricky at all. I never had an exam like FRM Part1 that left me without an idea whether I'd pass or fail. Part 2 is a fair exam though.
I have to correct a couple things in my previous post:
Market went from backwardation to contango (futures price > spot price):
They sold oil through selling long-term forward contracts. This means that the company would have to buy oil to deliver at some point so they bought short-term...
Hi LloydDagdag,
VaR is used to measure the market risk of a portfolio. PFE, as David mentioned, is used to measure the maximum potential loss in the case of credit events. Number of credit events are too few in a given time period compared to market events, meaning that number of exceptions...
Yes, Mettalgesellschaft was short the long-term oil futures and in order to hedge the position they went long the short-term oil futures and applied a stack and roll strategy. Their strategy became insolvent because market went into backwardation, meaning that short-term futures that they have...
I get relief from those posts too. The key seems not to fall beow quartile 2 in areas with higher weight. If you're confident with 50, you have a pretty good chance to pass with your educated guesses in my opinion. 12 days to go, and time will fly. I'd say just relax :) You have plenty of time...
I think it's getting better as June 23rd approaches :) Just trying to keep busy with other things but yeah...it's tough. I sat for both parts and I'm quite confident with part 2 performance. So, it is all or nothing for me..How is the wait going on for you?:)
Looking at the historical pass rates, GARP may increase the pass rate for Part 1 and decrease it for Part 2. In my opinion Part 2 was fairly easy so the cutoff may be high and pass rates can be low. I don't know if the Part 1 exam this May was more difficult than the previous exam because I am a...
I agree with Boxbro and shlobb13. The Schweser notes on repeated readings from previous years were really good. Some new readings were not sufficient so I often had to resort to the original readings for those chapters. Schweser practice exams were not as nearly difficult as the real exam. Qbank...
I don't use those, but I regularly visit the forum. Let's try to post under the topic in the forum so maybe more people who may have a clearer memory would provide feedback. Nothing we can change now, it will be over in 3 weeks time.
As an example, I remember a futures question where the convenience yield had to be calculated and also we had to find out whether it is being received or paid. If one assumed that the futures price is fair (which should not be assumed), he'd find an incorrect answer that was also in the...
Hi there. I had about 5 educated guesses. I am more concerned about the questions that didn't seem to be much trouble. Most questions, for an averagely prepared candidate, had pitfalls that if unnoticed lead to a wrong answer that is also one of the choices.
Questions were extremely tricky. I hope 30-40 mistakes would still pass. 70% is a direct pass for the CFA exams and CFA Level 1 is much easier than FRM Part 1. So, hopefully there will be a much lower threshold for FRM. A nightmare would be if the average for FRM ends up more than 70 correct...
