    Errors Found in Study Materials P2.T5. Market Risk (OLD thread)

    Hi @David Harper CFA FRM and @Nicole Manley R39.p2.t5. Meissner study notes page no. 21 contains some typo I think. Formula must be=cor(XY)*SQRT{(P(X)*(1-PX)*P(Y)*(1-PY)}+PXPY +PXPY must be outside of SQRT. On same notes page no.42 how did you get kendall T -60 I think it should be +60. again...

    Hi @Kavita.bhangdia, I think you are something missing here. Liquidity cost should be=72000*(0.5*0.16/72)=79.99 or 80. Because as per the formula liquidity cost=P*(0.5*spread). Hope that helps:)! Thank you

    Hi @Kavita.bhangdia, actual data or real world data is far different than normal data or distribution. It has fat tails (skewed) and heavy peakdness (kurtosis>3). In actual data standard deviation away from normal means that it has more volatility. So it performs fat tails and heavy peakdness...
